Arsenal; the Gunners

The red and white of Arsenal FC have been unchanged throughout their history. Some say the style of the kit used to be old fashioned, but now Arsenal have cured that, and emerged in the millennium as a force to be reckoned with, shedding their "boring" and "old fashioned" image. Arsenal's recent construction of their Emirates Stadium, and their status as Britain's wealthiest football club, seems to have injected a spring in their step, as they challenge Manchester United for honors in the English Premiership. The team from Woolwich, south-east London, have endured a long and winding road to today's more comfortable situation, and when Highbury was demolished it tore a few Arsenal hearts out. Arsenal tickets are selling like hot cakes every week, and their snazzy new stadium glows with expectation, as they demolish the best the Premiership can throw at them. The Emirates' 60,000 capacity means a few extra Arsenal tickets out there, but the Gunners - as Arsenal are known - seem to be selling out their stadium every week, which many said they wouldn't be able to do.
Arsenal greats of yesteryear like Charlie George and Tony Adams will be able to sleep soundly, knowing that their legacy hasn't fizzled away to nothing, with the arrival of great players like Fabregas, Van Persie, and Gallas. Arsenal are in with a shout at the 2007 title - and Arsenal tickets are what I want right now. Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!
